for The Heathrow Meet & Greet Service

You are requested to read carefully the terms conditions of car parking to follow the procedures recommended in those terms and condition which are for you your benefits. Should you wish to make a complaint you are requested to follow the complaint procedure set out in condition number 2 below which will ensure that your complaint is brought promptly to the attention of the management.

1. THE COMPANY LIABILITY

Every effort is made by means of trained staff, well maintained vehicle and equipment, to collect and deliver customers cars safely to and from Heathrow airport. Staff has instructions to remove anyone not authorised to be on the premises, company can not guarantee the security of your vehicle nor its contents nor are neither you belonging nor your personal safety.

The Company assumes that you will retain the return instruction/ number receipt for you car in a safe place ready to present on your return, accordingly the Company, its employees and agent.

Will accept liability in respect of any loss or theft of or from or misdelivery of or temporary failure to deliver or damage to your car vehicle or its contents that may arise only where the same is proved and to the extent that it is proved to be caused by their negligence, wilful act or default or breach of statutory duty and only if the loss or damage is reported before the vehicle is driven away from the airport by its owner.

In the event the company accepts liability for defects to a customer vehicle that remain driveable, only where the same is proved and to the extent that it is proved to be caused by their negligence, the company will arrange for an independent engineer to contact the customer to arrange for the remedial work to be carried out by a repairer acceptable to both the customer, and the company. It is a requirement that the repairer provides a replacement vehicle, at the repairer’s expenses, to the customer, for the duration of the repairs, and until the return of the customer’s vehicle to the customer. The customer shall be responsible for arranging insurance cover for the vehicle provided by the repairer, that is acceptable to the repairer, for the duration of the repair, and until such time as the replacement vehicle has been returned to the repairer by the customer.

Cannot accept liability for damage to vehicles or other property arising from acts of nature as the car park’s open air surface operation. Nor will the company accept responsibility for damaged windscreen s of other glass, other than where the same is proved and to the extent that it is proved to be caused by their negligence.

The company does not accept responsibility for any mechanical or electrical failure to vehicles whilst in its custody, nor will the company accept responsibility for damage or punctured tyres, only it the same is proved to be caused by their negligence.

Cannot accept be held responsible if you lose your return instruction/number receipt and this is presented to the company by third party who uses it to fraudulently take delivery of your car.

2. COMPLAINTS PROCEDURES

Claims cannot be considered once vehicle have left the airport having been returned by the Company driver to its owner so please check your car before leaving the terminal. Should your car suffer damage whilst in the care of Commonwealth Airport Parking or its driver or should you lose the vehicle or any of you’re possessions from the vehicle whilst it is in Commonwealth Airport Parking care. You must immediately inform the driver of the occurrence. In cases of the theft, you must immediately inform the police and notify your insurers promptly. In the event that the claim is disputed, you must give written notice containing full details of the occurrence to the company at station Yard, Station Road, Langley. Berks, SL3 6ED.

Before submitting to the company, customers are requested to check condition No1 and to satisfy themselves that the subject matter of their claim falls within the Company’s area of responsibility. Failure to comply with the above procedure may prejudice your position and it should be noted that our report form makes no representation as to the company liability.

3. SECURITY OF VEHICLE AND CONTENTS AND BAGGAGE

Unless requested by the company or one of its employee or agents not to do so, please ensure before handing your car over to the driver that all windows of your car are securely closed and, so far as contents are concerned, do not leave anything of value in the car without locking it in the boot and reporting it to the driver who will inspect it and not it on the report sheet. Accordingly it is a condition of acceptance of any vehicle that the customer removes all loose and valuable items as we cannot accept responsibility for their loss. Customers are reminded that their motor insurance policies may not cover possessions in their Vehicle.

4. TIME OF ARRIVAL

Customers are advised to allow for sufficient journey time to arrive at the airport terminal at the meeting time you will have designated with Commonwealth Airport Parking. The driver will wait 15 minutes after the meeting time unless you have phoned to advice of a further short delay in which case the driver can be paged and will wait longer. The driver will be wearing a Commonwealth Airport Parking Jacket.

5. BOOKING PROCEDURE, PRICES, CANCELLATION AND EARLY RETURNS.

The confirmation of booking does not entitle the customer unless otherwise specified to any particular space in the car park or to priority over other customers. Please retain the numbered return instruction card as identification of your right to drive away your car on return since, in the absence of acceptance of acceptable identification, the company reserves the right not to release the vehicle.

Prices may be varied from time to time and whilst every effort will be made not to change prices during a period when they have been expressed to be valid, the company reserves the right to change prices whether or not it gives notice of its intension to do so.

No shows and cancellation within two hours of the requested meeting time will be subjected to a charge of £25.00.

You must follow the precise instruction relating to your return that is handed to you by the driver on your departure.

6. MOVING AND RELOCATION OF VEHICLES

You must ensure that, before leaving the vehicle with the company that it is in a roadworthy condition, taxed and holds a current MOT if applicable. The Company reserves the right to move the vehicle within or outside the car park by driving or otherwise to such extent as the company, or its servants may in their discretion think necessary for the efficient arrangement of its parking facilities at the car park, or in emergencies or to avoid accidents or obstructions. Ignition keys to the vehicle must be therefore left in the vehicle at the time of handing it over to the driver. It will be necessary in the exercise of the rights conferred upon the company under the company under this condition, for the driver to have the right to drive or otherwise take the vehicle on the public highway. Commonwealth Airport Parking drivers are fully insured by the company for this purpose.

The average mileage between the airport and the Car park is 10 miles so the round trip for collection and return of the vehicle will be 22 miles.

Your vehicle will be taken to our secure compound near the airport.

7. DEFINATION

A) The company shall mean Commonwealth Airport Parking, Part of the Commonwealth Coaches Group. Station Yard, Station Road. Langley. SL3 6ED.

B) ‘Vehicle’ shall mean the vehicle which is received into the car park and shall include a car, caravan, caravanette, mobile home, transit van.

C) The Commonwealth Airport Parking is a chauffeur employed (whether directly or via an agency) for the purposes of meeting customers and driving their cars to and the airport and car parks.

8. VARIATION OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

No person has any authority to vary or alter these TERMS & CONDITION unless such variation is in writing under the hands of the authority person within the Company Board.
